SOMOS TAOS

The Society of the Muse of the Southwest (SOMOS) has sponsored an annual storytelling festival for 26 years in Taos, with Storytellers of NM frequently supporting the event through hosting a free storyswap, serving as storytellers or volunteers in other capacities.

The Taos Storytelling Festival has become an annual mecca for storytellers and lovers of stories of all ages. In recent years, the festival includes an evening of community storytelling (Friday night) with local presenters curated by Olivia Ramo, a storytelling workshop and Main Show (Saturday and Saturday night).

See event calendar for info on the 2025 Festival.
